Handmade Arcade

Sent application for Handmade Arcade. Didn't get the quality photos I wanted or packaging done, alas.

Unmolding

Unmolding could have gone better.  I tried to pop it out while still frozen (yes, my soap goes in the freezer to avoid gel.)  Might have been better to let it thaw first. 

Scent blending

Mixed up an 'Earthy' scent tonight. The original plan was to do lavender chamomile,  but I didn't have enough lavender,  and it was too late to reformulate anything else. Thought about doing the oatmeal soap, but of course there wasn't enough of that either.

Started with patchouli (which I said I'd never use...damn hippies,) but it didn't smell at all like classic patchouli.   Maybe because it's an EO and not a synthetic fragrance.  Trying to do everything 'all natural' is really a pain in the ass.

Ended up mixing in over half a dozen oils till I was satisfied.  Even threw in a little basil for good measure.

Jeaneen said it smelled a little 'green' for lack of a better word.  Not really what I was going for, but that's kinda sorta in the neighborhood of Earthy I guess. Well see in 4-6 weeks.
